Abstract

This paper looked at the problems facing the implementation of curriculum programme in the Nigerian educational institutions. Secondary data were used in the paper. The data were collected from both print and online publications. The paper concluded that Shortage of professional teachers, inadequate infrastructure facilities, ineffective supervision, ineffective capacity building programme, shortage of instructional materials, insecurity and corruption. To address this challenges, the paper recommended that the government should provide adequate funding to all the educational institutions to enable them purchase necessary human and materials resources needed for the full implementation of the curriculum in the schools.
